The 3-day MGS (Macao Gaming Show) Entertainment Show was held last week at The Venetian Macao. The show was filled with some of the most advanced pieces of technology, exploring the role of smart-city technology, as well as looking at Macao’s role in China’s Belt & Road Initiative.
At MGS, QIHAN exhibited the Sanbot robot series for commerce use -- Sanbot Elf and Sanbot Max. These robots, together with the other hi-tech giants such as Alibaba Group, Amazon, and Hikvision, featured at the show and amazed everyone at the exhibition center. Sanbot Max was the true hit of the show.
As the most advanced AI robot from QIHAN, Sanbot Max is able to carry and tow up to 75kg of cargo or other peripherals such as printers, large screens, and more. The hardware and software of Sanbot Max is incredible. 3D vision simultaneous localization and mapping (vSLAM) and a maximum 5m/s walking speed make Sanbot Max leads the service robot industry.
During the show, Sanbot Max showcased its amazing capabilities to visitors: Sanbot Max showed off a series of gestures like “OK”, ”After You”, “Pointing” and more. After setting up the localization and mapping function, Sanbot Max started walking and automatically avoided obstacles with ease thanks to all of the sensors installed around its body.
Sanbot Elf is the first generation service robot QIHAN launched in 2016. With Sanbot Elf’s open API and SDK, developers and integrators are able to develop solutions that are fit their plan. Sanbot Elf commercial service robots have been working for a series of scenarios such as customs, airports, schools, banks, restaurants and many other scenarios in over 30 countries.
At the event, Sanbot attracted the representatives from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R., Macao Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA), and more. The representatives learned all about Sanbot and had terrific interactions with Sanbot. Also, Sanbot received lots of interviews from numerous well-known media.

MGS organizer and Chairman of the MGEMA, Jay Chun, discussed smart cities during a media interview. Mr. Chun said, “We are extremely excited about the show with theme of Smart City. We have many smart-city technologies displayed on the show floor, exploring the role of smart-city technology and looking at Macao’s role in China’s Belt & Road Initiative.”
Sanbot’s debut at the MGS entertainment show not only contributed to the concept and desire of Macao’s “Smart City” and its pivotal role in China’s Belt & Road Initiative and exhibited QIHAN Technology’s strength in AI and robotics.
