Themed by “Achieving Inclusive Growth in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, Summer Davos 2017 kicked off on June 27th and lasted for three days in Dalian, Liaoning Province. Near 2000 business leaders, decision-makers and professionals participated in the forum. During the whole event, Artificial intelligence is always a hot topic. Sanbot intelligent robot, considered as the leading AI carrier in China and even the whole world, also made a hit at Davos Summer.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang made a key speech at the opening ceremony of the forum. Premier Li talked about AI and robot during the speech. "Will the large-scale development of AI and robot lead to unemployment? Indeed, the unemployment caused by AI or robot is happening in some areas. However, we also find that, the new round of industrial evolution, by vital of 'Internet+' and 'Popular Entrepreneurship and Innovation', creats much more job positions than the jobs replaced by AI or intelligent robot".

At one of the key processes in the event, the intelligent facial recognition checking-in of Sanbot robot, whose concept is "Robotics-as-a-Service", opened the “New Contention” forum, amazing the guests. At that right time, guest didn’t need to sign in the paper traditionally. What they needed to do was they stood before Sanbot robot and Sanbot automatically recognized guests and spoke out their names and special greetings.
The forum of “New Contention” is one branch of the three-day event, which attracted numerous professionals and scholars from Peking University, China-America strategic Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Aerospace and other government officials, enterprise leaders, academic and investors, AI professionals.
The robot’s smart performance during checking-in process left great impression to the guests. When hearing Sanbot speaking out her name and greeting, one female guest was filled with happiness on her faces. Some guests appraised Sanbot was too perfect and inquired where the robot came from. Empty Payment means that, no money, purse or mobile phone with you, you can buy and pay for the goods with your ring, shoes, or event tattoo on your arms within a few seconds. This recognition technology is making payment intangible, and the facial recognition like Sanbot’s makes KungFu one step further.
In the following processes, when the customer service robot appeared at the front of the guest again, a batch of fans surrounded Sanbot, interacting, taking photos and event talking about business with QIHAN staff.
The expert of AI commercialization and the original director of China-America Strategic Study Institute in University of California Wu Qihong considered, “AI knows customers very well, and thus AI is able to be easily used in all of the top 10 consumption areas. AI will improve the benefits more efficiently and it is a new manufacturing force. In addition, in ecological aspects, AI can provide better solution and improve system based on data”.
Huang Mingming, the founder of Guronge.com stated that, “automatic drive and intelligent healthcare witness the industrial window of 10 trillion; therefore, the usage of AI in financial technology can not be underestimated”.
