Robots will soon be teaching and assisting children across several schools in the UAE. A new education system on the Sanbot robot will be rolled out later this year. Sanbot will soon be introduced as a robot teaching assistant in schools across the UAE and the rest of the GCC by the end of 2017. The following information is from the Gess Event in Dubai.
GESS Dubai is the largest education event across the entire Middle East. More than 11,500 education specialists and thousands of visitors from 74 countries came to the event to demonstrate and witness the interactive technology, digital education supplies, virtual technology, ergonomic furniture, books, sports, science and laboratory equipment, and many more products and solutions for schools and institutions.
Sanbot robots are one of the most advanced carriers of high technology. Their debut at the largest education event signified their important role in education both at home and schools in the near future. Sanbot can act as a librarian, assisting students to locate books and even manage the process of checking out and returning books. Sanbot can also take attendance of students and guide visitors.
The advanced ai robot has a humanized body with a matrix design and is powered by more than 60 sensors to provide 360-degree wrap-around perception. The 3D camera, 10.1-inch HD touch screen, HD laser projector displays both customized academic content and information from the cloud. Plus, the open API platform enables potential software to be developed for customized services for each scenario.

Students interacting with Sanbot robot
Sanbot can help children learn whether they are at school or home. Children and students can ask for assistance with any course-related questions, and the robot will immediately retrieve relevant answers. It will also be able to track the progress of individual students and customize the learning material to guide them accordingly.

The robot can act as a librarian, assisting students to locate books and even manage lending, take attendance of students and guide visitors, apart from performing various other roles. The machines are one of the best we currently have and will unleash the power of cloud-enabled robotics and Artificial Intelligence [AI] to the academic community, Mr. Kugan, Sanbot agent told media, adding, however, that the ai service robot will still not be able to fully replace a good teacher, at least not yet;.
Sanbot landing on various media and magazines
Adopting the IBM Watson language system, Sanbot released a fully Arabic version for the first time at GESS. The partnership with IBM Watson adds value to the e-learning program and creates an easy-to-use programming environment for teachers and further enhances the computational skills and coding abilities of the students within the region.
Education is not the only industry that Sanbot robots are popular in the Middle East. The Qihan Sanbot team has now been communicating with companies about the robots’ application for customs inspections and shopping malls. It is very likely that if you visit Dubai, you will interact with Sanbot robot.
